OUR
STORY

Rather than just tell the story – the For Rangers teams began by taking part in some of the hardest, most challenging endurance events on the planet, in order to draw attention not only to the plight of Africa’s wildlife and the poaching crisis but importantly, the hardships and dangers the rangers are exposed to in trying to protect our wildlife. For Rangers primary goal has always and will always be to raise funds that go directly support Africa's Rangers.

The For Rangers team consists of individuals from across the globe. To date, the For Rangers family have taken part in some of the world’s toughest ultra-marathons: The Marathon des Sables in Morocco, The Jungle Ultra in Peru, Fire & Ice in Iceland, as well as numerous marathons, half-marathons, and Tough Mudders. A team has completed the Yukon 1,000 – a 10-day 1000-mile kayak down the Yukon River and another has endured a similar distance over ten days in the Mongolian Derby. To date over $3m has been raised and used to meet the needs of the Rangers on the frontline of protecting wildlife in Africa.

More recently, For Rangers' co-founder Sam Taylor has paired up with travel expert Charlie Potter to expand the For Rangers brand into the travel sector. For Rangers Adventures is a partner of the For Rangers charity campaign and offers an innovative expert-led planning and booking platform for safari-goers passionate about making a positive impact by booking their travel. 40% of travel generated profit is committed by For Rangers Adventures to the causes supported by For Rangers - a bigger commitment to conservation than any other travel company in the world. For Rangers Adventures holidays come with full ATOL protection and the option to make your entire trip carbon-neutral and even carbon-negative. Visit their website here.

"For Rangers are a dedicated group of individuals who are raising money for the welfare of rangers who risk their lives daily to protect Africa’s endangered species."
