SUPPORT
FOR
RANGERS

Combatting the African poaching crisis, one step at a time.

Founded in 2015, ForRangers was a concept developed by Sam Taylor and Peter Newland, with a view to undertaking extreme endurance events to raise funds and awareness for Africa’s rangers - everyday heroes who put their lives on the line so that our wildlife can continue to exist.

Since our inception...

More than

1,000

Rangers have lost their lives since 2003, protecting what is left of Africa's wildlife heritage.

Many more have been injured in the line of duty.

More than

US $5m

worth of kit, equipment and training, provided to

3,000

rangers across sub-Saharan Africa

We've assisted in

30

operations throughout

14

14 African countries

And we've

provided

1,200

life insurance

policies

Every cent goes directly to these men and women, providing them with good quality kit and equipment, improved welfare and better working conditions so that they might better protect the wildlife that cannot protect itself. "

Our Story

In partnership with Save the Rhino International, ForRangers are a dedicated group of individuals who are raising money for the welfare of rangers who risk their lives daily to protect Africa’s endangered species.

Primarily, we raise funds for rangers by taking part in incredible endurance events across the world.

Rangers

Wildlife rangers are on the frontline of conservation. Yet, despite the importance of their work, and the dangerous situations they deal with,  rangers often don't have the appropriate kit, training or support.

In the past decade, it's estimated that more than 1,000 rangers have been killed in the line of duty.

Travel through multiple conservancies teaming with wildlife and support the brave rangers who protect them. A 230km race split into five stages crossing five wildlife conservancies, each of which has its own characteristic terrain from verdant grasslands to forest; the playground of East Africa’s iconic wildlife.
